Handloom Textile Industry Training Courses

Handloom Textile Industry Training Courses

Applications are called from applicants fulfilling the required qualifications for the training courses stated below scheduled to be commenced in February, 2024 at the Textile Industry Training Institutions, implemented under the Department of Textile Industry. These courses will be conducted entirely free of charge.

I) Handloom Textile Industry Basic Training

Course - 06 Months

This is a 06 month full time course and is intended to provide the basic knowledge required to engage in the Handloom Textile Industry.

II) Handloom Textile Industry Final Certificate

Course - 12 months

This is a 12 month full time course and Textile Industry Final certificate will be awarded to students at an Examination after the conclusion of the course.

Admission Qualifications

I) Basic Training Course
Should have passed grade 8 from a government school
Should be above 16 years as on the application closing date.

II) Final Certificate Course
Should have passed G.C.E. (O/Level) Examination in 06 subjects including Sinhala / Tamil and Maths
Age should be not below 18 and not above 35 year

Applicants should fill the specimen application stated below and sent it to the address stated below by registered post along with applicant certified photocopies of the Birth Certificate, school leaving certificate, G.C.E. (O/Level) certificate and G.C.E. (A/Level) certificate (if available), to be received on or before 30.01.2024.
