Applications are invited for the National Tourist Guide Training Programme from Sri Lanka Institute of Tourism & Hotel Management, Ministry of Tourism and Lands.
Duration - 5 Months
Fee - 150 000

Entry Qualifications ( English Language)
Age 21 - 60 years
G.C.E. A/L - should pass all subjects in at least two sittings AND should have passed English in G.C.E O/L Exam with a credit.
OR
should possess a university degree
Entry Qualifications ( Foreign Languages except English)
Age 21 - 60 years
G.C.E. Advanced level - should pass all subjects in at least two sittings.
OR should possess a university degree
Should possess a certificate of proficiency in the language intermediate or Advance Level intends to practice as a Tourist Guide recognized by the Sri Lanka Institute of Hotel Management.
OR
should prove the language proficiency by producing credentials of living and working for at least five years in a country when the said language is the native language.
Special Eligibility
Should have a continuous service experience of not less than 05 years as a Chauffeur Tourist Guide
Should have completed a tour guiding programme at NVQ 04
