National Level ICT Championship Competition -2024


Applications are invited for the National Level ICT Chamionship Competition 2024.

• Closing Date of the registration – 15.07.2024
• Closing Date of the project submission – 16.08.2024

Important: 
All participants should register for the competition by only using the online form.


National Level School Software Competition (NSSC)
Registration: –

• Once the registration application is completed and the principal is certified, a scanned copy should be uploaded to the appropriate section of the online application.


Young Computer Scientist Competition (YCS)
Registration:-
• Once you’ve registered online, please review your email for further guidance.
Submission of Projects
• The details for submitting your project will be emailed to the address you provided.

Creative Teacher Competition for School Teachers
Registration:-
• Once the registration application is completed and the principal is certified, a scanned copy should be uploaded to the appropriate section of the online application.


Submission of Projects
• Please forward the CD, along with the application certified by the Principal, to the Director of Education, Information and Communication Technology Branch, 4th Floor, Ministry of Education, Isurupaya, Battaramulla.

• Once you have completed the registration application and obtained certification from the President of the College of Education, please upload the scanned copy to the relevant section of the online application,

Art Competition 2024


An all-island art competition will be held under the guidance of the faculty of Visual Arts, University of the Visual and Performing Arts, with the approval of the Ministry of Education, and in collaboration with the SAFE Foundation. This event is organized in parallel to the 75th Anniversary of the Department of Immigration and Emigration and to mark the World Day Against Trafficking in Persons on July 30th, aiming to increase public awareness of human trafficking, a crime spreading internationally.

Competition Students (Grade 8 & 9)



The NCD Unit of the Ministry of Health has decided to conduct a quiz competition jointly with the Ministry of Education to improve the knowledge of healthy lifestyles and non-communicable diseases

Closing Date 20 June 2024  Extended 10 July 2024

Target Group - Grade 8, 9 Students

Method of Competition
The competition will be held in six rounds namely zonal, district, provincial, quarter-finals, semi-finals, and final covering all districts of Sri Lanka subject to the following conditions. 

Conditions of the Competition: 
  1. All Government schools in each district may apply for this competition and a team of five children in Grades 8 and 9 would be applied from each school. 
  2. Only in the knowledge of the importance of a healthy lifestyle and non-communicable diseases will be tested
Prizes and Certificates for Winners: 
  1. Zonal Round: Winning students will get certificates and also a certificate of participation. 
  2. District Round: The 25 district teams who get the highest marks from the zones will get a voucher worth Rs.2000.00 per student and a certificate. A certificate of participation will also be awarded. 
  3. Provincial round: 09 winning teams will get Rs. 5,000.00 and a certificate per student. A certificate of participation will also be awarded. The 09 winning schools will receive a prize of Rs. 50,000.00 each. 
  4. Quarter-Final Round: 03 winning teams will get 10,000.00 rupees and a certificate for each student. A certificate of participation will also be awarded
  5. Semi-final Round: The 02 winning teams will each receive 15,000.00 rupees and a certificate for each student. A certificate of participation will also be awarded. 
  6. Final Round: The winning team will receive Rs.20,000.00 and a certificate per student, and the school will receive a prize of Rs.100,000.00 and a trophy. The runner-up team will receive Rs. 10,000.00 and a certificate per student, and the school will receive a prize of Rs. 75,000.00 and a trophy.

Applications are called for the Island Wide School Competition from National Water Supply and Drainage Board Sri Lanka.

Theme – “Water for Peace”

• Essay Competition
Medium -  Sinhala, Tamil and English 
Should not be more than 350 words in length 

• Art Competition
Creations should be 17’’ x 23’’ in size. Any colouring media could be used.

Junior Section - grade 1-8
Senior Section - Over Grade 8

• Prizes (Essay and Art Competition)
1st Place – Rs.10,000 with certificate
2nd Place – Rs.7,500 with certificate
