Nature of Course 
  • This Bachelor of Education Honours Degree programme consists of 120 credits. (60 Credits are exempted for diploma holders of National Colleges of Education) 
  • This course is part-time and conducted on weekends and school holidays, and also educational activities through online and face-to-face sessions will be conducted through regional learning centers.
  • The course will be conducted in English medium for teachers appointed to teach English in schools
Eligibility to Apply 
  • Holding a National Diploma in Teaching (English course) from the National Colleges of Education as well as having passed the G.C.E. (A/L) examination. 
  • Having a permanent appointment and currently serving in any of the Sri Lanka Teacher Service, Sri Lanka Principal Service, Sri Lanka Teacher Advisor Service, Sri Lanka Education Administration Service and Sri Lanka Teacher Educator Service by 2024.12.10
Selection of Candidates 
Candidates will be selected for the degree programme based on an interview. The period of service will be given priority.
