Education Ministry has sent a special letter to school principals to take proper actions to reduce the weight of students school bags.
- Making arrangements to leave students' books safely in the classroom
- Divide the students into groups and instruct them to bring one book per group.
- Use of soft copies of textbooks wherever possible.
- School should keep the books that can be reused in the classroom and make facilities for the students to use them.
- Instruction is given by teachers to use multiple exercise books for some subjects. Considering the current economic crisis and the need to reduce the weight of the students school bags , refrain from such instructions.
