UGC has released a research report on Prevalence of ragging and sexual and gender based violence in Srilankan Universities
"51.2 % of students were subjected to verbal harassments, about 34.3 % of students were subjected to psychological violence, about 23.8% to physical abuse and about 16.6 % of students were subjected to sexual harassments as a result of ragging"
Incidents reported to academic and non academic staff too.
