Faculty of Livestock, Fisheries & Nutrition of Wayamba University of Sri Lanka offers a Bachelor of Science Degree in Food Quality Management (External) jointly with Sri Lanka Standards Institute (SLSI), Colombo 08.

REQUIREMENTS

The BSc Food Quality Management degree program has been designed for those who are employed in food industry or entrepreneurs of food business any one of the following qualifications. 

1. Pass in GCE(A/L) examination in either Science stream or Technology stream from one sitting And 

Minimum of two (02) years post qualifying experiences in food industry. 

Or Higher National Diploma in Food Technology 

Or Diploma in Food Quality Management 

2. Qualifications other than stated above 1 or recommended by the Board of Study and acceptable to the Senate of Wayamba University of Sri Lanka.

DURATION: Three (03) academic years

Ministry of Education has released a special circular regarding the implementation of the New curriculum for grade Five from year 2020. The curriculum, Techers' guides, Text Books and work books currently using for grade V have been revised with effect from year 2020. 

And also the paras 1,6,7,8 and 10 of the Circular No 2008/49 issued under Primary Education Reforms will be revised as well.

This revisions will be effective from 01.01.2020.

Applications are invited from Rajarata University for   Admission of Diploma Holders in Agriculture to Bachelor of Science in Agriculture Degree Programme 2018 /2019

Basic Qualifications

• GCE (A/L) (Old Syllabus): Minimum of four general passes at one sitting for Chemistry, Physics or Agriculture, Zoology and Botany

Or

• GCE (A/L) (New Syllabus): Minimum of three passes at one sitting for Chemistry, Physics or Agriculture and Biology

And

• Full time two (02) year diploma course in Agriculture offered by the government or recognized private institution (minimum total credits 60) or equivalent qualifications

And

• Experience: Minimum of five (05) years research, teaching or field experience in the field of Agriculture in the government or recognized private sector organization after awarding the diploma certificate

Application forms and other details can be obtained from the Faculty of Agriculture, Rajarata University of Sri Lanka after a cash payment of Rs.1000/= to the Assistant Bursar, Faculty of Agriculture. Those who wish to obtain application form and other relevant particulars by post, should send a self-addressed stamped envelope of the size 9"x 4" addressed to the Assistant Registrar, Faculty of Agriculture along with a Bank Deposit Slip to the value of Rs. 1,000/= written in favor of “Faculty of Agriculture, Rajarata University of Sri Lanka”, Account No 008-1-001-4-8565998 held at the Peoples’ Bank, Anuradhapura indicating the applicant’s name and address. Completed applications should be forwarded through the respective Heads of the Institutions or Organization to reach the
