• Should possess a degree from a university recognised by the University Grants Commission of Sri Lanka. 
• Age: Should not be less than 18 years and not more than 45 years as at 31 May 2019. 
• Should be a citizen of Sri Lanka with an unblemished character and physically & mentally fit, and ready to serve in any part of the Island. 
• Selection will be done through a structured interview. 
• Selected candidates will be appointed as trainees and they will be provided one year training on contract basis and will be paid an all-inclusive monthly allowance of Rs. 20,000.00. 
• After end of the contract period, further extension or absorption to the public service will be subjected to the Government policy decisions. 
• Applicants should send their duly completed application forms (as prescribed) to reach the Secretary, Ministry of National Policies, Economic Affairs, Resettlement and Rehabilitation, Northern Province Development and Youth Affairs, “Miloda” Building, First Floor, Bristol Street, Colombo 01 on or before 31.05.2019 under registered post. 
• All applicants should clearly indicate the post applied for and the District of residence, on the top left-hand corner of the envelope

Applications are invited from citizens of Sri Lanka for the following posts at National Institute of Education. A Separate application should be forwarded for each post and indicate the post applied on the top left hand corner of the envelope.

1. Assistant Director (Programming) - (MM 1-3)
2. Technical Officer (Civil) - (JM 1-1)
3. Assistant Librarian - (JM 1-1)
4. Management Assistant - (MA 1-2)
5. Driver - (PL 3)

GENERAL CONDITIONS

• Salaries will be paid according to the Management Service Department Circular No. MSD/02/2016 issued by Management Service Department. The adjustment allowance and cost of living allowance will be paid in addition to the salary mentioned above. 
• The upper age limit does not apply to candidates from the Public Sector, Corporations, Statutory Boards, Government Departments and National Institute of Education. 
• Applicants from the Public Sector, Corporations, Statutory Bodies and Government Departments should forward their applications through the respective Heads of Organizations. 
• These Posts are permanent and the selected candidates will contribute 8% of their salary to EPF and the Institution will contribute 12% to EPF and a further 3% to ETF.

• Pass the GCE (O/L) Examination in not more than two (02) attempts with Eight (08) Simple Passes and Five (05) “C” passes for Mathematics, Science, English and Sinhala/Tamil in one (01) sitting. Fifth “C” Pass can be obtained for any subject.& Three (03) simple passes at the GCE (A/L) Examination not more than Three (03) attempts with 30% marks in the General test in one (01) sitting.

Non Degree Course:

• Pass the GCE (O/L) Examination in not more than Two (02) attempts with Eight (08) Simple Passes and Five (05) “C” passes for Mathematics, Science, English and Sinhala/Tamil in one (01) sitting. Fifth “C” Pass can be obtained for any subject.

Basic Qualifications

• Age - Between 18 - 22 years as on the date of enlistment.
• Height - 5’ 6”.

• Weight- 50 Kg.

• Chest - 32”.
• Marital Status
• Unmarried.

Selection Criteria (Female)Minimum Educational Qualifications

• GCE (O/L) Examination - Six (06) passes including Sinhala or Tamil at one sitting. 
• Credit passes in any four (04) subjects including English Language.
• Pass in Mathematics (Those who have obtained four credit passes including English Language and a pass in Mathematics in not more than two (02) sittings including the sitting in which they qualified in six subject will be eligible to apply).
• GCE (A/L) Examination - Two (02) passes in GCE (A/L) at one sitting.

Basic Qualifications

• Age - Between 18 - 22 years as on the date of enlistment.
• Height - 5' 2".
• Marital Status Unmarried.
