This post is permanent and pensionable.

Experience:

Shall be an officer in Grade I of Class 3 of Sri Lanka Information and Communication Technology Service and shall have completed an active and satisfactory service period in the immediately preceding five (05) years.

Qualifications

Shall be a citizen of Sri Lanka.
Shall be not less than 21 years and not more than 35 years of age on the closing date of applications. (Accordingly, only the persons whose birthdays fall on or before 11.06.1997 and on or after 11.06.1983 are qualified to apply for this examination.)
Note:- When the officers in permanent posts of the Public Service are recruited through this examination, maximum age limit is considered as 45 years only at this instance. Therefore, only the officers who are serving at a permanent post in the Public Service and whose birthday is on 11.06.1997 or before or 11.06.1973 or later can apply for this.

Educational qualifications

Shall have obtained a degree in Computer Science/ Information Technology from a University recognized by the University Grants Commission or a Degree Awarding Institution recognized by the University Grants Commission.

Open Competitive Examination for Recruitment to Class 3 Grade III of Sri Lanka Information and Communication Technology Service - 2018

Qualifications

Should be a citizen of Sri Lanka.
Should be not less than 18 years and not more than 35 years of age on the closing date of applications.
Should be of good character and sound physical health.
Should be bound to serve in any part of the island

Educational qualifications.

Shall have passed six (06) subjects with five (05) credit passes including Language, Mathematics and English Language at the G.C.E. (Ordinary Level) examination at one sitting.

Professional Qualifications

Shall have followed and completed a Diploma/ Higher Diploma or any other course at higher level relevant to Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Information and Communication Technology from a University recognized by the University Grants Commission or a degree awarding institute recognized by the University Grants Commission.

Shall have followed and completed a Diploma or higher course or a course of which the duration is not less than 1500 hours in the field of Computer/ Information Technology/ Information and Communication Technology which is recognized by the University Grants Commission.

Shall have completed, obtained following qualifications from an institution recognized by Tertiary and Vocational Education Commission or a statutory institution, which has been established by an Act passed by the Parliament.

National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) five (05) or higher NVQ certificate in the field of Computer/ Information Technology/ Information and Communication Technology.

A course in the field of Computer/ Information Technology/ Information and Communication Technology of which the duration is not less than 1500 hours.

Monthly salary scale entitled to grade 3- III, 3- II and 3-I of Sri Lanka Information and Communication Technology Service as per Public Administration Circular No. 03/2016 (MT-01-2016) dated 25.02.2016 is Rs. 29,840 - 10x300 -11x350 - 10x560 - 10x660 – 48,890/-.

This post is permanent. The pension, pension scheme entitled to the officers appointed to Class 3, Grade III of Sri Lanka Information and Communication Technology Service from this examination shall be determined on the policy decision made by the government in future.
