Malayasian Technical Cooperation Program (MTCP)
Scholarships for International Studies

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA 
  • Not be more than 45 years of age during application. 
  • Obtained a minimum of Second Class Upper (Honours) or a CGPA of 3.5/4.0 at Bachelor Degree Level for Masters Degree applicants and for PhD candidates must possess CGPA 3.5/4.0 or very good result at Masters degree level in a similar field of intended PhD study. In addition, for post-doctoral programme, the selection will be evaluated based on the number of books produced, refereed/non refereed journals, portfolio and patent copyright. The Post-Doctoral candidate must have excellent reputation in research and possesses knowledge related to the research to be carried out. 
  • Took one of the following English Language Proficiency Test not more than two years before the date of application. The list of tests and minimum scores required are as follows
    • IELTS Academic Test with a score of at least 6.5; or 
    • TOEFL paper-based test with a score of at least 580 or computer based test with a score of at least 230 or interned-based test with a score of at least 92.

Special Loan Scheme 
for Media Personnel to Purchase/Upgrade Media Equipment - 2018 


TARGET GROUP 
  • Media personnel serving on full time or part time basis in recognized electronic and print media institutions island wide. 
  • Freelance media personnel. 
  • Provincial media personnel. 
  • Web media personnel. 

ELIGIBLE EQUIPMENT 
  1. Computers (Laptop / Desktop / iPad) 
  2. Cameras 
  3. Fax machines 
  4. Digital recorders 
  5. Any other media equipment recommended by the Ministry of Finance and Mass Media 

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA 
  • Should be a media personnel as stipulated above and should have completed 03 years of service. 
  • Maximum age limit should be 60 years. 
  • Should possess Media Accreditation issued by the Department of Government Information 
  • Should not be selected under the Madya Aruna Loan Scheme - 2017. 
  • Annual income should not be less than Rs. 180,000.00.

iv. The candidates with Postgraduate Diploma in the Management - related field not less than one year obtained from other recognized universities/Institutions will be granted exemption for the subjects in the first year of study after the assessment and approval of the Higher Degree Committee and the Faculty board of Commerce and Management.
Course Fee: Rs. 280,500 (could be paid in three instalments)
Obtaining Application Forms:
Application forms can be obtained either by calling over personally at the office of Assistant Registrar, Faculty of Commerce and Management, Eastern University, Sri Lanka, Vantharumoolai, Chenkalady or by sending a self-addressed and stamped 25x20 cm sized envelope to reach the Assistant Registrar, Faculty of Commerce and Management on or before 10th July 2018 along with the customer copy of deposit slip for Rs.1000 payable to Bursar, EUSL, Account No.227 100 190 000 390 in People’s Bank, Chenkalady or can be downloaded from http://fcm.esn.ac.lk/mba and copy of bank deposit slip for application fee could be sent with completed application form.
The duly completed application forms should be forwarded to Assistant Registrar, Faculty of Commerce and Management, Eastern University, Sri Lanka, Vantharumoolai, Chenkalady by Registered Post to reach on or before 17th July 2018.
