The National Transport Commission (NTC) launched an online bus seat reservation portal for long distance private buses. Passengers could make use of the facility to reserve their seats on long distance buses plying on 35 routes, departing from Colombo Fort to several destinations such as jaffna, Kataragama, Badulla, Ampara, Deniyaya, Passara, Lunugala, Akuressa, Thirukovil, Batticaloa, Point Pedro, Madolsima, Anuradhapura, Dayagama and Trincomalee.
