No Holiday on May 1


The Government has cancelled the public and bank holiday falling on May 1, 2018. This has been done due to the Vesak week being held from April 26 to May2. 

The relevant gazette notification has been issued by home affairs minister vajira abeywardana by virtue of the power vested him under the holidays Act. No 29 of 1971.

The government has declared Monday May 7 as public and Bank holiday to celebrate International Labour day.

Financial Support for Business Start-ups for graduates

Calling for application for setting up of business start-ups and organizations incubating / supporting business starts-ups.

The national budget 2018 provides an opportunity for graduates to build their own business through the Erambuma Credit Scheme on non-collateral basis to commercialize and accelerate growth during the year 2018. A maximum of RS 1.5 million will be given per innovative business idea for a period of 7 years.

Education ministry have released the transfer list of non academic staff for the year of 2018. It Includes the current working place and the transferred place. This transfer will be effect form 02.04.2018. if anyone need to appeal against this transfer please forward you appeal according to the format on or before 20.03.2018.

Please concern about the circular letter before going the transfer or for the appeal of the transfer.
