Applications are invited for the Master of Education Degree programme conducted by NIE
Target Group:
- Sri Lanka Teacher Service (SLTS)
- Sri Lanka Principal Service (SLPS)
- Sri Lanka Teacher Educators Service (SLTES)
- Sri Lanka Education Administrative Service (SLEAS)
- Academic Officers of the National Institute of Education or Government approved Educational Institutes
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Education Degree with a minimum 05 ‘B’ Passes or
- Postgraduate Diploma in Education with a minimum 05 ‘B’ Passes or
- First Degree with a class and Postgraduate Diploma in Education
Nature of the Course:
Part time ( During weekends and school holidays )
Course duration:
18 months
Medium:
The course is conducted in all 03 media.( Sinhala/Tamil/ English )

NIE - Maharagama Sinhala Medium
NIE- Maharagama Tamil Medium
NIE- Maharagama English Medium
National College of Education - Jaffna Tamil Medium
(Minimum of 50 students should be registered in one medium in the respective center)
Course Fees:
i Application Processing fee Rs 300/=
ii Entrance Examination fee Rs 1 000/=
iii Registration fee Rs 2 000/=
iv Course fee Rs 75 000/=
v Examination fee Rs 6 000/=
The course fee can be paid in two installments (Rs 45 000/= + 30 000/=)
