- Passed G.C.E.A/L examination.
- Should be a Teacher/ Principal/ Officer in National colleges of Education or University./ Officer in Divisional, Zonal, provincial education office or officers in ministry of education.

- Tamil language for sinhala medium students and sinhala for tamil medium students
- English for both medium students
